DVD Review:
Bloodstained Memoirs
By Phil Allely
Here is one of the most highly anticipated wrestling DVDs in recent years, largely due to the fact that it unlike many others has been made outside of the all-powerful reaches of the WWE. That of course means that the wrestlers featured can be as open as they want about the subject at hand.
The series of sit down interviews with a number of big names in the business, asks them to give candidly honest answers to some probing questions.
It has enough star power to appeal to both veteran fans and newer ones as well. Ring legend wise we get to see Rowdy Roddy Piper and Jimmy Snuka open up about their careers and some memorable parts of them. New star wise we have Chris Jericho, Rob Van Dam and Christian, this trio are still active (although Jericho is concentrating music for now), so they do appear slightly cagey with some responses. Ultimo Dragon and Keiji Muto make for interesting viewing, both having remarkable matches to their credit. The girls get a look in too, former WWE/WCW performer Nora Greenwald appears in the main feature, whilst current TNA’s Christy Hemme is part of the bonus material.
