Beefcake gets Ko'd
By Phil Allely
Former WWE and WCW star Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake was injured in a boxing match this past week.
Reallife best friend of Hulk Hogan Ed Leslie participated in a celebrity boxing event in Pittsfield, MA this past weekend and had to be taken away in an ambulance. According to fans in attendance, during Beefcake’s fight in the second round, he got knocked down and landed bad on his leg. Paramedics rushed the ring to help him out and ended up heavilly bandaging his right leg. Beefcake’s concerned wife joined him in an ambulance ride to the hospital. There is no word yet on how serious 'The Barber's' injuries are. Beefcake was a hugley popular star during the 1980s-1990s (although a severe facial injury saw him semi-retire for a while), he did however return to the ring sporting a special mask, remaining a close ally of Hogan. He then followed the Hulkster to WCW for a less successful run, later years saw him take a role as trainer on Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Wrestling and sporadic appearances on Hogan Knows Best. He now plies his trade on the wrestling convention circuit and makes the odd rare in-ring appearance at independent shows across the US.
