TNA UK Tour Announcement
TNA IMPACT WRESTLING TO BE TAPED FOR TELEVISION LIVE AT WEMBLEY ARENA
London (Wednesday January 11, 2012): Top-rated Challenge TV show TNA IMPACT WRESTLING will be recorded at London’s Wembley Arena later this month – the first time the company has ever filmed the programme outside of the USA.
TNA IMPACT WRESTLING superstars including Sting, Kurt Angle, AJ Styles and TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Roode will shoot two all-new episodes at Wembley Arena on January 28 in front of thousands of British fans.
Sting’s appearance on the MAXIMUM IMPACT IV Tour will be his first in the UK in a decade and the final time he will wrestle in the country – with his last ever British match taking place at London’s Wembley Arena.
The shows will then be broadcast on Challenge TV in the UK and Ireland, Spike TV in the US and in more than 100 countries around the world. TNA IMPACT WRESTLING airs every Sunday night on Challenge TV, which can be found on Sky channel 125, Freeview channel 46 and Virgin Media channel 139.
The line-up of wrestlers for the Wembley Arena taping will also include James Storm, Bully Ray, Crimson, Samoa Joe, Gunner, Velvet Sky, Gail Kim, Madison Rayne, Mickie James, Tara, Doug Williams, Magnus, Mark Haskins, Austin Aries, Alex Shelley, Matt Morgan, Kazarian and Christopher Daniels.
Prior to the show, the TNA MAXIMUM IMPACT IV UK Tour visits Nottingham (January 26) and Manchester (January 27) for live events. The TNA IMPACT WRESTLING and Xplosion television cameras will be at both to capture elements of the Tour.

Bobby Roode Interview With Phil Allely
TNA Interview: World Champion Bobby Roode Talks to Phil AllelyBy Phil Allely
In a few short weeks TNA will be hitting the shores of the UK to one again make Maximum Impact with their latest short tour of these shores. Current World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Roode took time out from his hectic schedule to chat to our own Phil Allely about his spot in the company and the what the UK can expect to see.
“You know it was on the first TNA UK tour that me and James (Storm) were paired up and Beer Money was born. The UK crowds are always wonderful, we all have such a good time at those shows. I get the feeling they may not like me as much this time though. Saying that I am looking forward to going there again and honestly I can’t wait to defend my belt there.”
With a target firmly attached to his back with his recent heel Roode has to realise that everyone is out to get him these days.
“Last time I was in the UK I had James to back me up and we also had Ric Flair as our manager. Flair is unbelievable, it was an honour to have him with us, he is a legend, I’d say he is the best champion ever in this business. We learnt so much, he helped u and his stories were amazing. This time around it’s just me and my title, which is all I need, but I’ll have to watch my own back now.”
After failing to win the coveted world title at Bound For Glory (versus Kurt Angle) Roode turned heel on his own tag partner James Storm on Impact! a few short weeks later (Storm having shocked the world by felling Angle for the gold in a quick encounter.
“You know being the champ is one of the reasons I got into this business, it’s a good feeling, I may be under pressure and be busy all the time, but I want to run with this as long as I can. I’ll defend my belt against anyone who comes after it. In the UK I’d love to battle Sting, he’s been a real thorn in my side and it would be great to beat him as he returns to the UK.”
Prior to Bound For Glory Roode was heavily tipped as the man to topple angle for the prized strap, rumour had it Hulk Hogan was the man who stopped this taking place at TNA’s big show of the year.
“Those comments Hogan made never bothered me, there is a method to the madness in wrestling and things are said all the time, who knows what is right or wrong. To be frank I think that situation worked in my favour, it helped fire me up and got me to where I am now. I am the face of the company and I plan on being so for a long time.”
Many have likened Roode to the much-missed WWE legend Curt ‘Mr Perfect’ Hennig, Booby even adopted his Fisherman’s Suplex as his own finisher.
“I have always been a fan of Curt’s I studied his matches for countless hours. I’ve never tried to be him, but I guess some things rub off. I’m humbled to be compared to my hero. It’s such a privilege to be thought of in the same way as him.”
Many wrestlers have outside interests such as acting or music that TNA quite rightly encourage, however Bobby is very different from his locker room comrades.
“I’m concentrating on wrestling right now, my heart and soul are here in TNA, I want to be the best champion ever, that’s not just here in TNA, I want to make my mark across the wrestling world. I’ll be the most hated guy in the business and I’ll raise up the shock factor.”
Bobby Roode is scheduled to defend his belt at the upcoming TNA UK shows taking place on January 26-28, these culminate in a first for TNA an Impact! Wrestling TV taping at Wembley Arena.

Kurt Angle Interview Highlights
Kurt Angle appeared on Busted Open, which airs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday on Sirius 92 and XM 208 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Highlights from the interview are as follows:
2011 for TNA: "I think that 2011 was a subpar year, I think We did a lot of things right and a lot of things wrong. The most important thing I would say is the lack of communication within the writing and creative team. When you have a written show and you present that to everybody and then they start changing things and it becomes a watered down version of what the writer wanted in the first place. Now you don’t know which way to go. We do have a lot of chefs in the kitchen. I think that is the hardest part for our company because when Vince Russo is writing the show and you have Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff and a few other people and other TNA writers changing it up the last second which I don’t disagree with what Hogan says, I agree with him 100 percent.
"But we need to regroup earlier, maybe a week earlier and get it done, change it up, make sure we have the right changes so that we can keep going with the story the right way. So I think 2011 was a confusing year, so this is what we are going to capitalize on in 2012. We are not going to make the same mistakes. I think Hulk Hogan will get with to Vince Russo quicker, I think Eric Bischoff will get with Vince Russo quicker. We will get the show written, get it done a week earlier instead the day of the show, and changing it up. It was just very frustrating. Because I’m a little bit of part of everything in TNA and I watch what’s going on and sometimes I get a little frustrated when I see what Vince Russo is trying to do and I see what the outcome is."
Bound For Glory: "We literally had a change in 2011 at Bound For Glory right before the match in the main event. In other words, somebody was supposed to win and it got turned to me winning that night. It worked out for the better, I’m not going to lie to you. So the change was good, but literally we didn’t hear about it until that night and me and Bobby Roode was like What?! I’m winning?! I have a torn hamstring and I can’t even wrestle."
Samoa Joe: "We have not done Joe justice. Whether it had to do with an attitude problem an attitude change. In wrestling you have to play by the rule book. Joe was a little bit of a rebel. I think that might have hurt his cause. I believe Joe is rational. I think we can still make Joe a big star again. I think Joe is a full time main eventer. I think we need to do it now because if we don’t do it now it will never happen."
The next main eventers: "AJ Styles was there for a while. And then we pulled him down which I didn’t agree with. Now we got AJ up there, Jeff Hardy is here, Robert Roode, James Storm. We’re starting to get to a point where these guys are going to start full time and Kurt Angle and Sting can dwindle off and retire. That’s what we need to happen and that’s what’s happening now and I’m glad because I don’t want to leave TNA and leave an open spot there. I cant wrestle forever. As a matter of fact I am already talking retirement. It’s about making guys and putting them in my spot and making sure they are secure there before I leave."
